The 2025 FISU University World Cup Football will be held in Dalian, China from September 17 to 28.

To ensure the event runs smoothly and efficiently, more than 280 university student volunteers are now fully prepared to step onto the stage. Volunteer recruitment began in early June, led by the Volunteer Department of the FISU University World Cup Football Executive Committee and the Dalian Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League. Students were selected from six universities and colleges in Dalian, including Dalian University of Technology, Dalian Maritime University, Liaoning Normal University, Dalian Jiaotong University, Dalian Ocean University, and Dalian Vocational & Technical College. Together, they form a high-quality volunteer team committed to supporting the tournament.

During the tournament, these young volunteers will serve in international guest reception, media and publicity, security, competition support, and medical services. With vitality, dedication and professionalism, they will showcase the spirit of Dalian’s youth volunteers and bring youthful energy to ensure the success of the event.

To comprehensively enhance the professionalism and overall capabilities of volunteers, the Volunteer Department has designed a hybrid training program combining online and offline sessions. Online courses delivered through the “Youth Dalian・City Volunteers” platform cover 10 subjects including the spirit of volunteerism, basic service knowledge, and etiquette. Offline training is conducted in a centralized in-person sessions, provided by experts with both academic and practical experience, offering 12 specialized courses on topics such as tournament overview, youth leadership, first aid, international etiquette, media engagement, volunteer experience sharing, and psychological readiness.

To fully support volunteer services, the Volunteer Department of the Executive Committee has established a comprehensive, multi-dimensional service system covering equipment support, daily logistics, and psychological empowerment, providing a solid foundation for volunteers to serve with peace of mind. An innovative “Little Starfish” Volunteer Home has been set up as a welcoming hub for dining, rest, study and interaction. The “Youth Dalian・City Volunteers” platform also enables precise digital tracking of service hours and features a dedicated showcase of volunteer achievements, enhancing their sense of recognition. In addition, a 12355 psychological support program will provide sand table activities, mask painting, and other therapeutic services, alongside a 24-hour hotline during the tournament.

Now fully prepared, this passionate team of “Little Starfish” volunteers is ready to devote themselves to the World Cup. With confidence and commitment, they will shine on the international stage, highlighting the excellence of China’s youth to the world and contributing to the successful hosting of the Dalian 2025 FISU University World Cup Football.
